Oral Sex

Nothing quite like those two words to capture attention ;)
Now.. I've made it no secret that I enjoy oral sex - both receiving and performing. The pleasure associated with receiving requires no explanation - it's incredible if done correctly. It's as simple as that. As for performing, well... there's something incredibly exciting about controlling his pleasure with my mouth. Certainly I can immediately feel his response, but more than that, I can control his entire body and mind with the presence of my lips and my tongue in his most favorite region. I can take him right up to the edge... then slow down. Or.. deny him completely. Or perhaps, just perhaps I may allow him to release. Mmm mmm.
Yes, oral sex is extraordinarily wonderful. (Laughs). It's so wonderful that in thinking about it as I type I've made at least a dozen typos. Thank heavens for a spellchecker :)
I read something today about oral sex that surprised me, however. Did you know that studies have linked oral sex with oral cancer? In fact , it's been suggested that who have had six or more oral sex partners are as much as nine times more likely to develop throat cancer or cancer of the tongue than those who do not engage in oral sex? The link is apparently HPV (human papillomavirus), the virus that has been linked to cervical cancer.
From ABC.com,
Today more than 34,000 people have oral cancer and 39 percent of those cases are related to HPV, according to data from the American Cancer Society. Both men and women are at risk, but men are 35 percent more likely to develop HPV-related oral cancer than are women. Additionally, as women are at risk of developing cervical cancer because of HPV infection, men are at risk for developing penile cancer.
There is a vaccine available that helps prevent infection with certain species of HPV, so if you find this information concerning, I'd encourage you to speak with your doctor to see if this vaccine is right for you. As with any STD, safer sex practices greatly reduce your risk.
(I know, I know, not quite what you expected from me in a post about oral sex, but I thought if it could make a difference for even one person, then it was worth mentioning.)

Well, shut my mouth! ;)
You are certainly correct about your post not being what I expected.
You are also quite correct about the value of what you wrote.
Sexual pleasure can be so beautiful but the heartache of an STD can shatter even the most magical dreams. Having had some exposure to cancer therapy and prevention by way of diet, I wonder how effective such dietary preventative measures would relate to oral cancer. Then there is the body’s natural energy, or “chi”. I have heard it said both that oral sex causes the energy to flow in reverse through the chakras, (energy channel lenses), and that it can increase correct directional flow. I guess I don’t know what to believe there. It seems that oral sex is as much a natural part of human sexual interaction as missionary penetrative intercourse, and the fact that there are health risks involved with oral sex should be no surprise as there are certainly health risks involved with other forms of intercourse. At the end of the day the mind is not only the most powerful sexual organ, it has the ability to be the most efficient guardian, and safety can thus be pretty darn sexy.

Intimate Surrender
Her mouth makes an expectant O.
His mouth opens and his tongue extends.
Her pleasure grows with each stroke
and his submission makes him
descend and descend.
When she has left him empy
with no apparent direction
and no resolution for his arousal,
then she takes his sex for her own.
There is no control more than this.
He may find release and he may not.
She may grant mercy
or she may taunt him to insanity.
He begs and she offers her cruelty.
She pleasures herself in front of him.
This is more than perfect sex or death.
She sucks all that from him.
At the edge of infinite orgasm,
he surrenders and will not release.
She smiles and makes his slavery increase.
You had Me counting how many places My mouth has been.....and with what you have blogged here in mind its not going to be going any place else anymore......
Lady Julia,
Thank you for the warning, :),
perhaps male's should now have a vaccination certificate as a relationship pre-cursor?
I believe your RN side is showing. That's not a bad thing.

I have two comments: "I am willing to risk it if my partner does," and "does it apply in a strictly monogamous relationship?".
Seriously, as much as I would love to give oral service to some attractive females, I know I would not do so unless we were well established partners known to be free of STD. Other than that, the statistics may be based on casual oral sex, and have nothing to do with committed partners.
