Winner Winter Short Story Contest
I would like to announce that Richard, rdm_1950a, is the winner of my winter short story contest. His name was chosen by a random drawing (each story submitted led to the author's name being added to the drawing. Three stories meant three entries, etc). Congratulations Richard on your win.
Thank you to everyone who entered - your kindness and generosity mean a lot to me. I was so impressed with the talent you all exhibited and hope that you will continue to write.
Due to the extremely personal nature of his story, Richard has asked that I do not publish his entry online. I must of course respect his wish that it be for my eyes only. However, I will as my time permits begin posting the other wonderful entries that were submitted.
Thank you again everyone and I apologize that it took me so long to find time to do this.

I wonder if he's going to get the same prize that I was supposed to get: a new car.
I'm still waiting because the prize distribution company is having some issues.

Dear Lady Julia,
I've only recently started reading your blog and wish you all the best in regards to your father. I do volunteer work for Hospice and know how difficult it can be when families face the difficulties that you are. I send you all my best wishes. As someone else said, please take care of yourself... I read that you had been ill yourself and it's sometimes too easy to do too much for someone else, and neglect yourself.
I just wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed very much everything that I have read so far, and it's always wonderful to read of another like minded Mistress. I've skipped around and read some of your older posts and found Myself nodding along in agreement.
