My Relaxing Moments

Blake was totally kicking it on American Idol the other night, wasn't he? Takes a lot of guts to do a Bon Jovi song but he was great.

(Just thought I'd let you know I was relaxing a bit ;) )

Here's a little something else for Your relaxing moments:
Bridge Over Troubled Waters as performed by Clay Aiken

=)

P.S. Did You happen to watch the 2-hour Grey's Anatomy? If so, any thoughts about the spin off?

I loved that - thank you! Sometimes I feel a little out there floating alone (always when I'm feeling sorry for myself I might add ;) ). Nothing could be farther from the truth, so thanks for the reminder.

As for that 2 hour Grey's Anatomy - I think I'm going to like the spin-off even better than Grey's. I have always liked Tim Daly and Amy Brenneman a lot and have really come to enjoy Kate Walsh and Taye Diggs as well.

What did you think?

I haven't watched this week's Idol yet, but I know Lakisha was voted off. I must quit watching the news if I don't want spoilers like that! I heard that Blake really didn't do very well at all, but didn't hear about Jordin or Melinda. Were their performances good?

i am just getting to know Taye Diggs, whom i recognize from Ally McBeal. i already like Tyne Daly's younger brother Tim Daly, whom i was surprised to learn is a year older than i am. i have been steadily warming up to yummy Kate Walsh, and have always been "head-over-heels" in love with Amy Brenneman so as You can imagine i'm looking forward to this spin off, Private Practice. i'll probably end up watching Grey's Anatomy also, at least at first.

On American Idol, each contestant performed 2 songs this week. I think it is fair to say that Melinda performed the best overall, though not as well on her 1st song as her 2nd.

Jordin sparkled as usual and had some brilliant moments, but struggled the most with her 2nd song, which i remember as I AM A WOMAN IN LOVE - a song made famous by Barbara Streisand's performance with the Gibbs years ago.

i didn't think Blake did as badly as Simon indicated. His talent didn't fit as well with the songs and it was tough for him to live up to his own dynamic performance of Bon Jovi the week before.

All the performers had some interesting challenges with this Disco genre while doing solos with songs that were designed to showcase the group harmonized falsetto style of the brothers Gibb.

i hope i didn't spoil any surprises.
;)
