Busy Week But a Few Relaxing Moments

Just wanted you to know I am trying to take at least some time for me. I just watched this last week's American Idol (thank you TiVo). Can't believe Phil went down but I have no doubt this guy will have a great career. I'll certainly buy his first CD.

Robert, my American Idol buddy, were you surprised? Who do you think will make it to the end? Who should? Any other Idol fans?

BTW, wasn't Bon Jovi great?

Didn't Blake do a kicking job on this? Great beatbox.

Yeay! i was SO hoping You would see Bon Jovi week on American Idol. He didn’t disappoint. i enjoyed Bon Jovi’s performance, but even more special to me was to learn about the kind of person he is through his interaction, his personal individual coaching and reflection on each finalist as they prepared to perform his works. i thought that alone was spectacular.

i expected to see Chris depart, but Phil Stacey leaving surprised me. i thought Phil had a very strong performance that showed very natural showmanship. Blake’s astounding and unique scat/beat box techniques found such a sweet spot in this genre that it may have been what sent Phil packing.

Was it the right choice? It followed Simon’s prediction, but i disagreed with Simon at the time. i was honestly expecting Jordin Sparks to go home next to Chris.

i think Melinda Doolittle has been the most consistent and should be in the final two. For me it’s a really tough to call the runner up. i think i like Blake personally, but his skills haven’t worked for every style of music.

Like Bon Jovi said, it's not knowing that keeps us coming back.

Jay, I've been thinking of all of you as well. I miss all my friends very much.

Robert, I don't know what to think about Jordin in my short stint of watching her. Until this past week I thought she and Phil were the two best, but this past week I thought I was Phil and Melinda. Either way, they're all super talented. Do you think Phil will have a successful career even though he was voted off early?

=)
i think Phil will have a wonderful performing career because of his amazing talent, determination, and engaging manner. He may have a Country Music career. He has a broader spectrum, but it's what he loves.

That was so much fun, thanks Julia! I very rarely watch television, or shows on the web, so I get to catch up with what is going on in the States by visiting all the blogs I read. ( I am generally working writing, training, gardening, hiking or reading)

I just loved Blake's beat box rendition of Bon Jovi's song. That was pretty damn incredible.

Hope you are feeling better.

My best,

Aradia

I apologize for one of the comments that I approved earlier about this. I didn't read it all the way through before I approved it and there were a couple of phrases with which I wasn't familiar and that apparently are racist. I'll be more careful in the future.
