Friendship

I've lost contact with a couple of friends recently. The first simply disappeared. No, not from the face of the earth, but from contact with me. I'm not sure what happened but I'm really saddened. We were really close or - at least.. that's what I thought.
The second is someone who made a conscious withdrawal of most communication because of things occurring in every day life. I very much appreciate the directness with which I was told this because I would have truly hated being left as I was with friend #1 wondering if my friend died, was seriously ill, or just really ticked off with me for some reason.
Some say you can't really be friends with someone you have never physically met. I find that to be a very narrow point of view. I've shared more with a couple of friends I've met online than I have with most people I see every day.
If you're reading this and you're my friend, I want you to know how important you are to me and how much I hope that you're always in my life in some capacity.

Friendship is like the calm ocean connecting many islands. It's always there surrounding you when you need to go for a swim.
This is a nice post. I guess I don't share more because I have been burned too many times online, but it's nice that things have worked well for you.

I can't say the first friendship I mentioned worked out well. I was very close to that individual and to just disappear like that - well, that hurt a lot.
The second I'm saddened by but completely understand. Things happen.

Please may i respectfully suggest that we have physically met, through your creativity and writings? Not to mention the Intercontinental Ballistic Hypnosis! believe me, you have gone places in my mind that no one has been! Scary, Hhmmm, 15,000 km away and all you have to say is one or to words and i'm out for the count. Long distance mentored mansubing. What a rush!

Just a quick note of thanks for opening to those islands floating in cyber sea. Also a reminder that when we close ourselves to the opportunities that are presented, we deny ourselves growth. while this may seem harsh, is a muscle strengthened without resistance? There are far to many that hide emotions behind what should be rather than what is truth.
Might the Love of Truth unite us
and the Truth of Love shine clear
