Venus, Mars, and Sexiness
Lately I've been thinking about the various men I know. I'm quite close to several and if I must say so, they're a very sexy lot - I mean really sexy. Even though they all have their own distinct personalities and looks, they all have a few things in common. They're intelligent, funny, considerate, strong minded, hard working, do the right things sort of guys. They're also kinky, although some are far kinkier than others. Sexually adventurous I guess you would say. Age and looks don't seem to be a common factor. A couple are several years younger than me, a couple right around my age, and three or four are as much as 10-15 years older than I. Totally toned, a couple of big handsome guys, and some just in between. To me, they're all handsome but I'm not sure it's always that conventional handsome. They just have that something about them...
So I was wondering, what says sexy to you? Are men and women really that different about what we consider to be sexy? I think it might depend on the age of the man and the woman. I'm in my mid-40s now and I think I've learned in the last 10 years or so to see "sexy" in a different light. I think our appreciation of others changes as we mature and that may be why "sexy" appears a bit differently than it did when we were 20. Lots to think about, anyway. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
Oh, and the eye candy in the photos is nice, but to me, what's really sexy can't be captured by a camera.

For me, if they don't have it between the ears (not necessarily book-smarts) and in the heart, i have no use for them.
Young and beautiful with a toned body like the girl in the photo. Strong, self confident, with a never apologize type personality. That is sexy. I think this and I'm in my 50s. Are you inferring I am not as evolved as you?
Fat women make me ill. There is nothing sexy about them. I once corresponded with a Domme who seemed sexy and attractive. She was smart, funny, and all that. Everything was great until we exchanged pictures. Everything sexy vanished when I saw she needed to lose at least 50 pounds.
Face it. Men are visually stimulated. I take care of myself and I couldn't have sex with a woman who didn't. Some men may lie about it but all men are the same except for the losers who can't do any better.
Dick your previous comments prove you are not as evolved as Lady Julia but that was not the point she appeared to be making. Your choices are your choices.
I prefer a more mature woman who has strength, wisdom, integrity, a sense of humor, intelligence, and some sense of shared history. I have nothing in common with a 25 year old woman even if she does have a perfect body. I can appreciate her beauty just as I can appreciate the beauty in fine works of art, but I don't want to sleep with the Mona Lisa.
A woman's face may bear a few laugh lines and her breasts may not be as pert as they once were. She may have a toned body or one that is softer, fuller, and yes rounder. Both are beautiful. If she likes herself, is confident and knows she is sexy then she is sexy. She doesn't have to announce to the world that she is. Many see it and are drawn to her.
Overall, a person who keeps him/herself in shape and is intelligent.
A man who is in shape but with average looks and is into the lifestyle is hotter to me than the drop dead good looking individual who does not have anything on the brain or is vanilla or closed-minded.
Sexy to me is pretty much what you described. I learned along time ago to see beauty in the individual, so there is no one "look" that does it for me. If the person thinks sexy, regardless of how he looks, it makes that person more attractive to me. If a man cannot think sexy or does not know what he is doing when it comes to sex, then I dont care how physically attractive he is.
As for age, I have come to appreciate the mature man. A mature man, knows what he is doing, in my experience, he is more patient. He enjoys your company and the process of the seduction. They also seem more comfortable with themselves, their sexuality and the sexuality of their partner. My pet is like that, fabulous physique that I never get tired of and a sexy mind. My "cabana boy" is 24 years older than me, but he has tricks that make him vert sexy.
I recently met a young man who has a sexy mind. For a while, I dated a couple of younger men before I met my pet. We did not mesh well, they were not into the lifestyle, which was a big factor, and they had no patience, which I found irritating.
Some men may lie about it but all men are the same except for the losers who can't do any better.
I think that it's safe to say that everyone has certain standards; however those people with any degree of sensitivity and intelligence are able to measure those standards against reality. Then they reassess those standards in light of personal growth, experience, or other situational factors.
Immature and insecure people often place a high emphasis on physical appearance; this is perfectly normal when you're, say, 20, but at 50 one wonders why you'd make such a big deal over it.
Personally, I'll take a "good, giving, and game" attitude any day of the week, and twice on Thursdays.

I inferred nothing about you. I simply shared a point of view.
I would agree that fat women are not attractive to you. That's the beauty of variety. I don't like mean, disrespectful, charm school drop-outs. There are those I suppose who might.
We're offered this wonderful smorgasboard of people with whom we are fortunate to interact and if we look hard enough there are bound to be a number that appeal to each of us.
I'm in my 40s and fit. An average size woman is attractive. One that is too thin is not. A bag of bones does nothing for me. The perfect size woman for me is one who is what older people call a little chubby. I love the softness and the curves.
Intelligence, a great laugh, a sexy voice, a sense of adventure and a fondness for play. All great. She doesn't just think she's sexy, she knows it. That's my kind of woman.

Agree with Duncan regarding heavier women and like the great photos he posted on his blog. I love women of all shapes and sizes although I do always want to fatten up the twigs a little. Softness is much better than protruding bones.
Sexy for me is sweetness, kindness, and since I am a Dom I like a hint of vulnerability behind her strength.
Especially agree with Tom Allen. Eye candy is good no matter what age or sex you are. We all enjoy it whether we admit it or not. By the time get older we wise up and realize that the wrapping should be appealing to us but it doesn't have to be perfect and there is a wide variety of what is appealing. I've noticed that women are often much more or much less attractive after I get to know them and their personalities.
