We Remember

I was driving my son to school and didn't realize the scope of what had just happened. The were reporting that a plane had hit the WTC. I had pictured a 4 seater prop plane, perhaps piloted by a man who'd suffered a stroke or something.

As i listened to the live coverage further, i pulled my car over to digest everything that the radio was telling me. News of the Pentagon... the feeling changed from inquisitive to downright eerie.

I got very little done that day because like most, i was glued to the television with my hand over my mouth feeling very helpless.

Sometimes we Canadians like to poke fun and point out the obvious differences between us and our American cousins. I've never felt more American than i did that day.
