This and That

My blogging has been really sporadic the past few weeks. Sometimes I go for several days without writing anything, other days I post 2, 3 or more entries. Ginger mentioned to me that she had missed a number of entries because she didn't realize I was writing more than once a day on some days. She suggested that others might be confused as well and recommended I mention this just in case.
Speaking of confusing, a few have commented that they are unclear about the roles of a few people in my life. I'm a RN and I do live-in care for Bill, a man who is battling lung cancer. I've been taking care of him for a couple of years now so we're very close - pretty much like family. Rook, my boyfriend (at 44, I dislike that term and thus often refer to him as my fella), lives about six hours drive away from me. Long distance relationships are not fun but as long as I'm working for Bill I won't be moving. Graham is Bill's best friend and a very good friend to me as well. Since I've developed a chronic illness and on rare occasions need help with Bill or shopping, etc, Graham has pitched in. We couldn't have made it without him and we love him to pieces. As I speak of all of them from time to time, as well as several online friends, I can see where you might be confused.
On another note, I've been thinking about my blog and the direction I want to take. Over the past few months I had moved away from sharing much about my life and have written mostly opinion pieces. While I enjoy that, I've decided to begin mingling the two. In the past I had shared more of the day to day things with the members of my YahooGroup, but I'm taking a break til Labor Day from participating there and I've had a number of requests for more personal info here. I won't be getting graphic because that isn't my style, but you will probably be reading a few tales ;)
In keeping with that, I'll write later and share about Bill's latest hypnosis experience and also answer lh's question.

Ever since lung surgery a few years ago (empyema) I've tended to think of nurse's as akin to saints.
Since there are no sufficient words I'll thank you for sharing this part of who you are.
That is one of the things I like most about Lady Julia. She is so willing to open up and be real with the people in her group and those who read her site.
Best to both you and Bill, Lady Julia.
