| THE PERFECT FEMDOM "I could never be controlled by a Domme who was not completely in control of herself in every area of her life." I've heard this remark a number of times over the past couple of years and it always gives me pause. While it's certainly true that someone totally out of control of themselves and their life would not make a suitable candidate for controlling another's body and/or mind, I think it's very naive and fanciful to expect that anyone could ever be in total control of themselves at all times. We all have moments when life spins things out of our control and we're forced to deal with it as best we can. Additionally, as human beings we each have our strengths and our weaknesses. An intelligent person is aware of his/her weaknesses, strives to build on those areas, and adjusts his/her interactions to make certain that those weaknesses do not interfere with their ability to control their submissive partner. Role playing or scening can be very fun, but if you want to embrace dominance and submission as an integral part of your day-to-day life, be realistic. For example, it's unlikely that you'll ever find a person who is never angry. It is reasonable, however, to think that you could find someone who expresses their anger in a positive, constructive manner. It's unlikely that you'll find a person who never has any bad habits. Striving daily to improve and deal with any negative issues in our lives is a part of a healthy growth process for everyone, Domme and submissive alike. Some days, even a Domme is going to feel sad or have her feelings hurt. At a time like that, there's no reason why a submissive partner cannot offer his skills and yes, occasionally his strength to his Domme. I'm not afraid to allow my submissive partner to see my imperfections. It isn't a threat to my control over him - it's a testament to the strength of our relationship. |
