| ROMANCING THE DOMME - PART 2 May 6, 2005 Note - while this is a response that is individual for me, I think that much of what I said applies to many women and can therefore possibly be translated to your lady. Recently, I remarked, "What actions speak "romance" to me? What makes me feel special? (Among other things) An active awareness of the things that interest me. He certainly doesn't have to share in all of my passions or even have a desire to participate in each one, but he is familiar with those things that are important to me and makes an attempt to share in at least some of them. " I assume these remarks prompted Davis to ask, "What things capture your interest, Lady J?" I've actually been thinking about this over the past few days and, while some of my comments may seem superficial, at least they're honest (smiles). I really enjoy discussion, especially in my groups and in my blog. It always makes me smile whenever someone posts or remarks about something they've read. I realize that some aren't enthusiastic participators and I can accept that, but those who silently read and occasionally comment to me in private are sharing my interests. I delight in discussing photography, music, politics, books, hypnosis - almost anything really. I am especially intrigued by the human mind and personality and very much savor those times I spend dissecting the "why" behind someone's thoughts or emotions. Lastly, and here's the superficial part, I admit that I like attention. Yes, yes, I know - a Domme who likes attention. Such a shocking revelation. The attention that intrigues me, however, does not include the hollow compliments offered from those who've never taken the time to know me. I'm drawn to someone who really sees me - not just the hypnoDomme - and works to examine every facet with deep fascination and persistence. I know I'm not a simple, uncomplicated woman and that's good and bad, depending upon your degree of diligence (smiles). |
