HYPNOTIZED? May 9, 2005 by Bill Lady Julia has asked me, as one of her hypnosis subjects, to write the first step in a series of answers to Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ. These comments are not intended to be offered as expert advice. They're my personal experience. Hopefully some of you will respond and offer your point of view as well. ------------ What does it feel like to be hypnotized? It would seem that the experience varies from person to person. Some feel physically relaxed, others don't even realize they're hypnotized. From what she has explained to me, Lady Julia has always used some type of relaxation induction to help ease me into hypnosis. She's been hypnotizing me for a long time now, and for quite some time all she has to do is say four words and I feel myself opening up for her. My body feels very relaxed and heavy and although I could move, I really don't want to. My breathing is deep and the longer I breathe that way the more peaceful I feel. Everything I hear described is so real in my mind and the longer she hypnotizez me, the more her words seem to be the only important thing in the world. All that I want to pay attention to. I could ignore them, but I don't want to. The suggestions sound perfect to me. After it's over with, I always feel relaxed, happy, and full of hope. It's as if I am a peace with my body and mind for that period of time and for a long time after. |
